Christopher ‘Kit'
Shawn Brauer RAPID CITY — Christopher "Kit" Shawn Brauer, 44, was born to Johnny & Micki Brauer in Jackson, Missi- ssippi. Chris spent much of his life in Minnesota and Kansas. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris with a degree in Geology. He moved to the Black Hills in 1996. Survivors include, Marian "Micki" Brauer — mother, of Rapid City, one sister Laurie Montgomery and Bob of Rapid City, brother Mark Reis and Sally of Azle, Texas, nephews Mark & Terry Reis of Texas, niece Stacie Montgomery of Rapid City and ‘doggies' Sapphire and Shimmer, nephew Nathan Montgomery of Denver, Co., and best friend Marc Hopewell of Rapid City. Preceded in death were his father Johnny and brother Terry. Most people that knew Chris "Kit" will remember him for his love of mountain biking and nature. Chris loved to mountain bike ride, road bike race, explore the Black Hills, and talk with people about his passions. Chris worked at Two Wheeler Dealer for the past five years. Chris also loved to teach spinning classes at Fitness One (Plus). Chris had a genuine pure heart and a true love of people. He spent his time living life like we all should. Any gift that was ever given to him he treated like a treasure. Any words of kindness spoken to him he never forgot. He will be missed by all that knew him. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 21, at Faith Lutheran Church at 17 Indiana Street, Rapid City, with Pastor Bruce Baum officiating. A gathering will be held after the service at Storm Mountain. Memorials are being established. 2004 Memorial Ride
